The Media Hub Pod is available within the WorkCast Classic studio. The Classic studio is linked to Simulive and Classic Slides only presentation types and its function largely depends upon the presentation type selected.

Simulive Events
The Media Hub is where your pre-loaded media will appear. There are three tabs available but for a standard Simulive event you'd use only use the Present tab and the Session content tab
Present tab
This is where you/your presenters can view the preloaded media attached to the event.
Prior to the event you will see a red bar under the media window with a Preview button available. This button allows you to test your uploaded media to ensure this will play out as expected.
Once in preview mode, if you wish to listen to the audio within the studio click the test event audio button.
Once you are finished previewing please click the stop button.
Please note: the media will broadcast in the Media Hub and on the event Auditorium page. For this reason we recommend locking your Auditorium temporarily until you have completed the preview process. To do this, visit the Event Interactions pod within the WorkCast Studio.
Be sure to unlock the Auditorium once complete so viewers can access the page on the broadcast date
Please note: Locking an Auditorium will not work if you are embedding your media into HubSpot or your own website. Please bear this in mind when previewing the media on embedded events.
At the time of the event - the preview button will disappear from red bar under the media window roughly 1.5 hours prior to the scheduled start time and instead you will see a countdown to the broadcast.
One minute prior to the broadcast a Join button will appear. This allows you to view the media from the studio without logging into the auditorium.
Please note, to hear the audio you will need to click Test Event Audio.
Session Content tab
Here you can change the media attached to an event if needed by clicking the Search Media button. This will then give you a list of the uploaded and available MP4 media in your WorkCast Account.
Click here to see how to upload media.
We recommend you change the media no earlier than 30 minutes prior to broadcast.
Classic Slides Only Events
The Media Hub is where your presenters connect to the event via their deviceβs microphone and control the pre-uploaded .pptx slides.
Present tab
This is where you/your presenters can view the slides attached to the event.
To load the slides into view click Start. Once the Start button is selected all other users will see Join.
Note: Depending on the file size and your local connection the slides can take a few minutes to load.
Once the slides have loaded you will see the below:
1. This is the slide control bar. Here you can advance the slides using the arrows, jump to a specific slide by number and see which slide is currently showing in the main window. The buttons will turn green when you first click on them to show they are active. When green, you are able to use the left and right keys on your keyboard to transition (a clicker can also be used).
2. Slides - This allows you to view a static image version of your presentation in the large play window rather than the live stream. Videos and timed transitions will not play in this view - the audience view will remain unchanged.
3. Lock Slides - Producers can lock the slides so only they are able to advance. This is particularly useful if you have embedded a video into a slide as it prevents presenters from accidentally moving ahead.
4. Image Mode - This allows you to see static images of the slides without animations or video in the main window. Useful if a presenter has poor local connectivity.
5. Test Audio - this allows you to hear your presenters and any videos within the studio. Please note, you must stop the Test audio when you are unmuted or an echo will be heard by the attendees.
6. Broadcast - Only Producer users can see this option. This should be clicked when you are ready to broadcast live to your audience.
7. Stop - Producer users will click this to end the live broadcast. This will stop the slides within the studio also.
Session Content tab
Here you can change the slides attached to an event if needed by clicking the Search Media button. This will then give you a list of the uploaded and available .pptx files in your WorkCast Account.
Note: Slides must already be uploaded into your account.
This option is only available if no slides are currently loaded in the present tab.
My Connections tab
This is where you/ your presenters connect your microphone to be heard during the event.
1. Connect - Click here to connect to your audio.
2. Mute - Click this to mute / unmute your microphone.
3. This area allows you to see the audio connection status of all users within the studio.
4. Dial in - If you / your presenters are unable to connect your deviceβs microphone you are able to dial into the audio bridge using the numbers provided.
NOTE: These details are event session-specific. The session pin and user pin will change for every new event created.
