In order to reach the widest possible audience, the WorkCast Platform uses multiple streaming technologies to ensure our events can be viewed across devices and networks.
The WorkCast Platform checks your computer and browser to ensure we have the best possible solution for you. We are therefore able to support the latest browser technologies such as MPEG-DASH for newer browsers, device-specific technologies such as HLS for Apple and mobile devices whilst still being able to support legacy technologies such as Flash for older browsers. These combined work to ensure that your event can be viewed by as wide an audience as possible.

Live Event Audience View - Platform/Browser Options
DASH - is an HTTP adaptive bitrate streaming technique that enables high quality streaming over the internet.
HLS - is an HTTP-based media streaming communications protocol implemented by Apple for streaming over the internet.

WorkCast Studio View for Presenters
Within the WorkCast Studio presenters can view, present and move slides they are streaming to the audience. The Media Hub will allow you to see your slides based on the features your browser supports. For latest versions of Chrome and Opera you should automatically be able to see a none-Flash view of the presentation. Please note that Flash is no longer supported by Microsoft and WorkCast.
For the best overall presenter experience, we recommend using Chrome or Edge with a desktop device.
